Tactix continues to build upon its expertise in life sciences real estate with the hiring of Dana Hammill as Life Sciences Advisor. Dana is an accomplished cell and gene therapy expert and entrepreneur. She brings over 25 years of experience in translational and clinical research to the Tactix advisory team, specifically in cell and gene therapies, as well as extensive experience with start-ups, incubations and fund raising.

Dana’s journey in cell and gene therapies began in 1998 at Penn Medicine’s Institute for Human Gene Therapy under the direction of Dr. James Wilson. After Penn, she was a Director at the University City Science Center helping catalyze the Philadelphia region’s start-ups with management, real estate sourcing and procurement, and fund raising. As an independent consultant, she supported Large Pharma’s Phase III world-wide clinical trials for several years before returning to academia. Back at Penn, Dana was the Director of Strategy and Business Development for the Center for Cellular Immunotherapies at the Perelman School of Medicine. Notably in this role, Ms. Hammill served on the finance committee and managed the Penn-Novartis alliance including the process of obtaining FDA approval of the first CAR T cell therapy in the United States.
